Description

Even before he formed The Alan Parson's Project, Alan Parsons was already a well known and respected musician, songwriter, and producer. He actually got his start in 1967 at Apple Records, learning from none other than George Martin. And later when producing Al Stewart in his breakout hit "The Year of the Cat", it was his idea to add a saxaphone that transformed it from a folk song to a jazz hit. But in 1974 (not 1982 as a movie would have us believe), he got an idea to make a kind of "studio super group", assembling the best artists he could find to create studio projects based on a theme. I was going through my music collection, and when rediscovering this I decided to pair it with one of the stars of the 1980's. Now Raven was only 5'8", but her penchant for wearing high heels, her immaculate jet black hair, and her "queen bitch" screen persona often made her seem to tower over those she performed with. Sources used are Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Golden Girls 198: Ball Breaker, Taboo American Style, Sexual Exposure, Les Femmes Erotiques, and Supergirls Do General Hospital.
